Market update notifications

I've noticed recently that I am no longer getting the update notifications from the Android Market when my apps have updates available. Is anyone else having this issue, and is there any way to fix it?

I just noticed that same issue the other day and am not sure what it was. I just now upgraded to 2.2 and wasn't sure if that made the difference or not

How long have you waited between checking? I've noticed it too (on two phones and many different ROMs and everything from 2.1-2.3.4), but occasionally when I don't check it for awhile, it will give me a notification. I'm not sure why it waits, or if it's even on purpose, but it should happen eventually.

I often check a few times a day out of boredom... I'll stop manually checking and see if that makes a difference.

Using stock 2.1 & 2.2 even though I had checked the install updates automatically for all of my installed programs they never did except for whatever reason today.

Im on an EPIC but have the same issue. The only way around this is to launch the Market app each time i reboot my phone. If i dont then the market app does not check for updates. That or I have to manually check for updates.
