Stock 4.3 ROM or flash it

Just upgraded my Note 2 to 4.3. I'm fairly techy but have never flashed a rom before. Curious if I should flash from the Samsung "stuff" to a clean android rom? Would love feedback and experience. Thanks!

I love the freedom of being able to flash a custom ROM, and get away from carrier and Sammy bloat. However, if you do flash a custom ROM, depending on your choice, you can get 4.4.
