Anyone planning on preordering on Feb 5th?

want to pre-order but not up for an upgrade until march 19th :'(

Call ATT customer service and tell them that your current phone is acting up and you would like to get a new phone but your a month early. Tell them that you need your phone to be working correctly for work and personal calls. They might work with you, since they worked with my friend with his iphone 3GS that was acting up so he upgraded to a GS2 SR about 6 weeks early from upgrade date. I hope it works with you.

I'll wait and play with one in the store first. Besides, by then there will be some reviews on it and among other things I can find out how much AT&T mucked it up with their bloat ware.

Don't panic on the pre-order. Like artaqaf said, DO NOT put the sim card in yourself. Activate it by calling them first. I pre-ordered mine through AT&T (along with two extra batteries and a spare battery charger from Amazon for only another $30 . . . oh and a custom gel skin for $15, no phone yet and I'm already into it for $370 with tax. :-$ )
I had an online chat with an AT&T rep and they told me the same thing, activate it by calling the toll free number on the web-site. I have an advantage in that I have two lines, one is grandfathered in with the unlimited Data, and the other (eligible) one isn't, So I'm updating Mom's line, but activating the phone on my line. Then I can keep my unlimited plan and cancel the new plan on mom's line after the fact.

Most of the time you have thirty days to return a phone based on something called buyers remorse. There can be a $35 restocking fee if you do, but the rep in my local store told me that if I order it online I most likely avoid the re-stocking fee, even if I return it to a store. Not sure how true that is but I'm 98% sure I'm not returning this phone.

Now . . . ;) anyone wanna buy a pre-loved Samsung infuse 4g with spare batteries and a charging cradle? O:-)

Just picked up a Skyrocket a couple of weeks ago; Since I'm still in the window to return, I am going in this afternoon to return it and order my NOTE.

I would love to have this phone for the specs but ICS upgrade is important to me. I want chrome browser but waiting for AT&T to upgrade the Note to ICS may take some time. :(

They just updated the Samsung Captivate to Gingerbread just last month.

Well with Samsung saying that the GS2 and Note will get ICS on 3/1, it will still be one of the first phones to get the upgrade. Sure.. AT&T won't have it out immediately, but still...a great situation for rooted devices.
