Shouldnt even have to do all that. All you need to do is push CWM via Odin. Then download the superuser.apk and transfer that to your internal storage. Then reboot into CWM and install the su.apk and all done.
Literally takes 3 minutes and 2 flashes of programs that were lost cause of the upgrade. It works, I have done it. - 07-23-2012, 04:29 PM #16

Crap. Rooted my phone this morning, now Kies won't read it. Not that I used Kies for much of anything, but if another upgrade/patch comes out, I'm hosed.

Uninstalled Kies and reinstalled it. Reads the phone fine now. nm.

pls i need help, i tried to change os on galaxy note and after factory reset i could not move forward.. now i dont have any os on my note.. i need contact with my pc again but without any software on my mobile it is not possible at moment.. what can i do? any expert here? pls help
