So its been about 2 weeks since the note was released, how is everyone finding the battery to be holding up now that I assume most are are out of the "playing with the new phone phase" and getting back to their normal use?

I plan on getting one soon and wondering how it will be.

I've had mine for 1 week.

Starting at 6AM to work and then to home around 5PM, battery at around 70 to 80 percent with moderate usage (checking email, weather, Pulse, etc.).

Same schedule but with heavy usage around 50 to 70 percent.

Overall I am impressed. The phone charges faster than some have mentioned here and there. I can go from 70% to 90 ~ ish in a little over 1 hour.

Of course the number one battery drainer is the screen but (oddly) my second drainer is the "Android OS." I know this includes the "enhancements" Touchwiz provides. By the way, I am rooted and debloated which I think makes a world of difference.

I've had mine since Feb19 and I'm seeing 13 hours per day easily. Even then there's anywhere from 15 to 25 % remaining and I've tested stream of Slacker radio on battery during my 2.5+ hr round trip daily commute to work and was able to get through full day. I'm impressed.

Mine is on 16 hours a day on average with moderate use - take notes on it in meetings, check email for 3 accounts every 15 minutes plus a fair amount of phone calls - still have 40-50% left when I plug it in at night. I am extremley happy with it so far.

Even after 2 weeks I enjoy playing around with it and customizing things, so I have much more drain on the battery than usual. However, on days when I use it normally, it lasts all day with about 20 to 40% left over, one day 60%. It is a big battery.

I'm a fairly heavy user... And sadly I'm not seeing some of the Numbers being thrown around here! If I take it off the charger at say 11am, I'm looking for an outlet by about 7pm.

Now that's 8 hours with some pretty heavy use, I'd have to say that's pretty good compaired to what I was getting with the LTE Galaxy Nexus which was about 5/6 hours with pretty much the same use.

However....still not as good as my Droid Charge was...

I'd say I am a moderate to heavy user and charge it before I go to sleep and won't charge it until about 7 or 8 PM the next day with at least 35% left. The battery life will probably improve since I have had it for about a week and I keep tinkering with it a lot. I am getting much better battery than my iPhone 4 which used to loose about 20-50% battery if I left it overnight.

what's the screen-on time people are getting with the note? i have a galaxy nexus and i barely get 2-3 hours screen time (mostly browsing using wi-fi only) and that's annoying the hell out of me, hence thinking about switching

I use mine heavily all day (email, text messaging, browsing, the whole enchilada) and battery life is quite impressive. I'm usually still at 30-40% when I plug it in at night before retiring. Best battery life I've had on a phone ever, bar none. :)

I've had mine for a little over a week. I am an extremely heavy user. I stream radio through sirius xm app for about 2 hours a day at the gym, I have 8 email addresses synced to my phone every 30 minutes (except my exchange email and gmail), facebook, Plume (twitter), etc. Even though I have to put it on the charger around 5pm, I am still getting 10 hours on a charge. That impresses me quite a bit. I am used to the EVO 3D that I had to charge every 4 or 5 hours.

I think my current office desk/area is in a bad spot of our building, because it's sucking down the juice.

However, I went to Busch Gardens a few weeks ago and used it frequently (photos, videos, park's APP , twitter/facebook/google+ uploads, etc...) and had great battery life. (6+ hours off the charger and only dropped 20-25%)

At work, it can set on my desk for 5 hours and already be at 60% with little to no usage. So I started bringing my charger to work and keeping it on the charger until lunch.

Had my notebook about a month. At first I was very concerned about battery life. Switched over ti the Note from an iphone 4. I have to say the battery life has improved with time.

Also, in the past week I have implemented a few changes which have helped tremendously.

1. Turn off the notifications you don't care about. Facebook, drippler, pulse, etc. Alot of apps install themself with notifications on. If you're like me and working when those notifications pop up and you wind up clearing them anyway, open the app and turn them if in the settings menu. I'm gonna check all those apps periodically during the day anyway.

2. I too have multiple email accounts. My main accounts I have them sync every 30 minutes. My other accounts (I have 8 running) I have sync either every 6 hours or once a day, depending on how important they are.

3. Last but not least, take screen brightness OFF AUTO!! This will save you a ton of battery. You can always swipe your finger across the top of the screen to raise or lower the brightness.

I pulled my note off the charger at 6 am today. I am a heavy user. Today I listened to music for 4 1/2 hours as well as several hours browsing with normal talk (10-15 calls) and texts (about 50). It's 10:20 pm now and I am at 24%.

Good luck to you, hope this helps out with your battery life.

Whoa..it totally works. I had no idea you could swipe the top to change the brightness. This is probably one of the coolest features I've had on an android phone. Is this new with ICS, because I never knew about it before. But it seems to work on my ICS rom.

Just unlock your screen and put your finger on the notification bar where the clock is (top right) and drag.to the left to dim or back to the right to brighten. Will save you a ton of battery. I only have to brighten mine while outside.

No, not.new to ICS. My Note is running stock gingerbread with Samsung Touchwiz.

I have 2 spare batteries that I keep charged up. It is important to me to maintain the slim profile of the Note, and the extended battery added waaaaaay too much bulk for my liking.

I carry one spare in my wallet (because they are so thin) all the time, and the other one I have at the house.

I leave the house around 7am each day, and when I return around 6pm, I just pop in a newly charged battery for viewing videos, reading books, and responding to personal emails in the evening.

By carrying a spare in my wallet I am good to go, should I need extra juice throughout the workday, but that rarely happens.
