I did the same thing for the same reason and can happily tell you that the car mount simply ROCKS for this phone. I added the BlueAnt S4 bluetooth and it works perfectly, nearly as good as if it all came on the car. The big screen works great in the Samsung mount, putting the phone in the mount automatically cranks up the voice talk. Great combination.

I took your advice. Traded in my 2005 Altima (no bluetooth) for a lovely 2012 Nissan Rogue. Oddly enough, when I did the test drive I forgot to see if it fit in the cupholder. But after I bought the Rogue and went for my phone, it fits! Either standing up in one cup or laying down across both (there is a channel between the two parts of the cupholder.
