random issue with alarm

I use my note as my alarm in the morning and have noticed a random issue. I set 2 alarms to go off 5 minutes apart. When the first alarm goes off, the screen stays blacked out, and I have to power it on before I can turn the alarm off. Then when the second alarm goes off the screen turns on like normal. Anyone else have this happen?

The same thing happens to me. However I have noticed if the Note is not plugged into the charger then screen turns on when the alarm triggers...
