Lag Problem (Rooted Also)

I need some advise. My Note for the most part has been great. But at times, has been very laggy, and at certain moments, crashes. Happens everyday. I've done my research and have seen that a hard reset works to fix the problem and fixes the lag problem. But I am rooted, so can I even do a hard reset anymore? I just want to fix this lag problem, I've tried reflashing roms but to no use. Maybe its the particular rom? I don't think thats it though because other people on the particular rom have reported great smoothness. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hmm the only lag i experience is with the phone app

Great rom, I haven't done the tablet mode just yet though, might in the future. I just backed up the rom, wiped the phone and reflashed this rom, hoping it fixes the problem but not so sure.

Okay, I'm using the Collective's Unofficial v1.5 and even though it's a GB based ROM...I don't have the same issue. Plus on all my devices, I use Zep's V6 Supercharger script, which kicks any lag in the nads, lol. I haven't flashed an ICS ROM and from what I've read, his script isn't to difficult to install on an ICS based ROM. You may want to give it a spin...just proceed with caution.
