Portable hotspot on Galaxy Note

I just changed my plan with ATT to the unlimited talk and text with the shared data, this includes Mobile hotspot, I was able to get my girlfriends blackberry activated with the hotspot no issues, but when i tried to get my 3 week old Galaxy Note activated with it, SETTINGS goes blank...

I go to Settings>>More>>Tethering and portable hotspot>>

click on that and screen goes black then comes back a minute or 2 later and says "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped"

anyone know how to correct this?

I made the same move as you did with AT&T and the shared data plans. I did the same as you and did not get the black screen or the unit to go unresponsive. Once you turn on the hot spot - click on it you get instructions on "how to connect from other devices". I was able to get it up and connect my BB to it via wifi for a test.
