I'm on a stock ICS Note 1. I much prefer the standard google calendar which can be downloaded from the Playstore. I don't mind that the Samsung calendar is in my phone, I just don't ever open the app. But I have tried repeated attempts at disabling the notifications. I've turned them off completely, I've turned the notification sound to "silent" and I've turned off any other setting. I don't want any notifications coming from this app and it's constantly resetting itself to set reminders and notifications.

How do i completely disable the Samsung calendar? It's driving me up the wall.

If you are on Jelly Bean, you can go into Settings/Application manager then uninstall updates. Once the updates are uninstalled, you can disable the app. I've done that with all of the bloatware stuff AT&T added.

Thanks, but as I said I'm on stock ICS. I'm not rooted or anything. Jellybean is a horrid slow mess on the Note 1 so I'm not using it. Also this is a SAMSUNG calendar app, not an AT&T app.
