New GSII and LTE???

So I went into my local AT&T store to see if they had a GSII on display so I could see if it had that blue tint problem on the screen when looking at whites. They still didn't have one in so I couldn't compare

Anyway, I was chatting with one of the reps and he stated that the reason none of the At&t stores have them yet, is because they are getting the LTE version in mid November. Is this correct? I ordered the phone I just got through At&t, they dropped shipped it direct to me. Why would they sell me this version when that one is coming out??? It doesn't make since.....

You gotta remember at&t is a big business. A big business that won't care much about you buying a non LTE version weeks before a LTE version is available. Its all about money man. As far as an LTE version, who knows - but others in this forum have received the same info so it might be true. Either way, you get 30 days to return/exchange it..

That's what I will do if it is indeed true... Do you have that blue tint to your screen when your not looking at it strait on?

Yes, absolutely have that....I believe it's characteristic of the AMOLED tech along with color temp.

Someone said we can change the color temp I.E. movie mode ect in the settings? Im not seeing it though....Maybe its only in the European version?

Yes, only on the European version.

I don't see a blue tint on my screen but maybe I am blind to it? I was more concerned about the pink camera issue or w\e I was hearing about but I haven't done any testing.

you can see it if you tilt your device to the left or right. Its only slightly blue on white backgrounds. If you go to your browser and go to google you will notice it..

I'm pretty sure this is just from the display technology. I really don't notice it unless I'm looking for it..plus I don't ever look at my phone from the side
