Screen got super bright for a few seconds

Just had something random happen today. I was going through the settings menu today and all of a sudden, the screen on my phone got really really really bright for like 2 seconds. Brighter than it has ever been. I mean, so bright, that the colors were altered. Then, it just went back to normal.

Has anybody else experienced this before?

What ROM and kernel?

When did you last install an app(s) prior to this, and what app(s) was it?

I've seen something similar on a Captivate running ICS. It turned out it was a recently installed app from the Play Store.

It's all stock. The last app I installed Best Wallpapers HD I believe.

There have been some app updates that were installed after that app was installed. I don't remember what they were though.

If it was just a one time thing I wouldn't worry too much. If it keeps doing it you may want to check with at&t about a warranty swap or, at minimum, do a full factory reset and reinstall the apps over time to see if one might be the culprit.
