    Default SPAM Notifications

I recently started receiving SPAM notifications. I think it may be due to the free wallpaper apps I downloaded - but just uninstalled. I am wondering if I will still receive these notifications after deleting the app(s)? I guess time will tell. Just concerned if there is something hiding in the system.

New to Android... thanks for any info.

When you uninstall the apps, the spam should go away. If not, there's always Factory Reset :/

Try downloading (free) from the Play store. This will scan all of your apps and tell you what app has notification privileges as well as what apps have other privileges. I hope that helps!

Sounded like a great idea. I downloaded and installed. It only found one app which it said could "Display ads in Android notification bar." That app was airpush. When I clicked on it, Ad Network Detector told me that Airpush provides an opt-out app and provided a link to download/install the opt-out. Installed and ran - unfortunately that was yesterday, still getting the spam notifications today, and running Ad Network Detector again still claims only Airpush can do that. And just to make sure, I ran the "opt out" app again also, and it says that "Airpush ads are already disabled on your device."

    Any thoughts?

I like Addons Detector, which looks for more than Airpush problems. It helped me to determine that two Go Launcher accessories were the root of my notification spam problem.

AirPush Detector is the best app I've used for this problem.
