Anyone have any experience with going from an ASOP ROM/kernal to a stock-based ROM? Would flashing the kernal for the stock-based ROM be the first step (before the stock-based ROM)? I've heard of some boot issues when going back to stock.

I've flashed a few ROMs on my S3, but since going to AOKP, I've only flashed non-stock ROMs. Thanks.

I flash quite a bit myself & as long as you do a nandroid backup you should be fine. I switch from AOKP roms & stock roms all the time..

Simply wipe data (after backing up what you need of course), and flash the stock based rom (then the custom kernel if you so choose).

No special procedures needed.
