SIM unlocking ?

I was able to get an unlock code from att to Sim unlock my phone. I only have an att Sim card at my disposal. Is there any way to unlock with the Sim I already have or do I need to find another non-att Sim?

I think the SIM unlocking allows you to use other carriers SIM cards with your phone. This is usually used for international traveling.

You need a non ATT network sim card. I just got my unlocked on Friday yet I have been an AT&T less 90 days. Funnny how ATT made me wait until the very second my iPhone 4 was out of contract.

How did you get your unlock code?

I just live chatted on my computer with them and it took like 2 minutes total for the rep to give code.

When I unlocked mine, I just got a SIM from eBay for 99 cents with free shipping for one of those prepaid carriers. But make sure it is a carrier that does not use the AT&T network.

In my case, I have T-Mobile S3, so the H2O SIM worked fine.

Also, don't forget the S3 has a micro SIM.
