No I'm not willing to trade an extra gb of ram and LTE and probably an extra $200 for a few extra weeks with a phone. Not to mention no warranty.

Not to mention that the s3 is as fast or faster than the quad core in most instances.

Really.. Ok.. Well F.Y.I. at least if you are on Verizon you are looking more at a few months.. This phone is not even in Validation Testing at Verizon at this point according to a tech that I was chatting with for over an hour.. we believe the G-Note is just about ready for a Mid-July launch with the S3 dropping in around Mid-September. There is a lot of Verizon Bloatware that has to be intergrated with the tons of novelty apps that the phone already has.. No way Verizon at least, is going to release this phone in 20 days.

Yeah that would suck if AT&T and T-Mobile get it first and Sprint and Verizon customers have to wait months still! Ugh...hope it ain't so.... guess we will find out more in the coming days.

oh man i really, really, really hope you're wrong. that with the fact that verizon is killing unlimited data plans might be enough to make me jump ship to sprint or a pre-paid plan.

Seeing how AT&T runs on the same frequency as the international unlocked phones, that is more tempting to me since if I don't like at&t's u.s. variants I can always buy the international ones and still have 3G.

At what point in your thread title or statement did you mention Verizon? I was referring to AT&T as you were in your title. So FYI I gave reasons why I won't preorder a no warranty phone for hundreds more than I will pay in a few weeks.

For your sake I hope you are right.. I have no idea what the timetable is for AT&T.. They have been doing pretty good so far.. I hope they have a contract phone ready for you in June.. I just wanted to make sure those that want the Gaming Preformance Advantage the Quads / Mali-400 offers knew they can order that puppy right now! or, wait for the S4 / Adreno 225 option.. See.. If it were me, I would go the Quad / Mali-400 route.. Because we do have a lot of Wi-Fi hot spots for the times I am out and I just gotta have something download at superspeed..( Don't know about AT&T but, 3G speeds on Verizon while I'm running the streets is really good enough for me.. even for netflix) and I have a fast comcast Wi-Fi at home.. I would have no need for AT&T's 4G or that til 2014 2yr contract.. I would get the international and due Unlimited Everything pay as you go for $45 a month.. Then I could always sell the S3 next year for $.50 on the dollar to someone who does not want that contract, and put $35 a month aside for 12 months for next years S4.. But I am Blessed with a great rooted/ romed LTE 4G phone now & Verizon's Unlimited 4G LTE so I don't have to worry about things for another year.. or at least until Black Friday I'm good!

how would you be buying a no warranty phone? if it's brand new, it's covered under the same warranty every phone on the face of this planet is. The 1 year manufacturer defects warranty...

    LOL

Did you honestly think you would buy a brand new $700+ device and it wouldn't come with a warranty?

Or are you talking about how you might not be able to get it covered under the extended warranty / insurance that you buy through the carrier?

Yes, the no warranty factor is often forgotten
    or unknown by U.S. purchasers.

    No warranty
    No support
    slower data
    More expensive.

Hmmm. I think I'll take the "dumbed down" version.

The warranty is only good for the regions the phone is designed for.
Went through this last year with the gs2. I saw similar info about no warranty and contacted Samsung. Ask them yourself.
That's why I waited for ATT version and will do the same this time.

There has already been a debate about this issue with the G-Note on Amazon ( Which has it for only $500 bucks! ) and it was comfirm by Amazon that it does come with a 1yr warranty if supplied by them.. I am sure the SIII would be no different.. But you really need to decide what you are primary going to do with the phone.. In my case I could care less about 4G away from home.. Wi-Fi gets all my movies downloads etc.. And Verizon's 3G plays netflix fine for me.. I would want the Quad / Mali-400 for it gaming capabilities.. I believe it was Anand that did the gaming test with Egypt's 2.1 HD Benchmark putting the Quad / Mali
ahead of even the Previous Leader the Iphone ( which lead by 25 points over the S4 in the AT&T OneX ) by like another 8 points Anand proclaimed it the Fastest GPU they have ever tested.. So, It really comes down to what you are going to do with the phone.. For me the Exynos / Mali-400 combo would be too exotic for me to pass up..

I am leaving Sprint and unless you live in an area with 4G or one of the four first cities with LTE I wouldn't sign up with Sprint. Their 3G service is horrible, and that's being nice. I am looking to grab the SGIII or HTC One X on AT&T ASAP and pay my early termination fee just to do so.

I had GSII on T-Mobile. Paid the early termination fee for 2 lines just to get a skyrocket on att. Best move I ever made
