What are you upgrading from?

From a Motorola Atrix. It has been a great phone. It is being handed down to my wife which I am not very excited about. She is pretty good at beating the hell out of electronic devices

You should see my girlfriends Thunderbolt. That thing makes me cry whenever I see it. I don't know how it even functions with all the dings, scratches, corner being chipped away. The battery door is held together with tape. Gonna give her my Gnex with a nice big protective case.

I'm upgrading from a Samsung Captivate officially. I bought the HP Veer when they had the fire sale. I also bought the HTC Status on ebay (love the physical keyboard). Can't wait for the new one to show up!!!

Leaving VZW and my droid x behind due to lousy service at work.

My droid x has been a champ. It may have taken them a while to iron out the bugs, but the hardware has been great. Never had a case on it and she still works fine. Hope my GS3 holds up as well!

Haha Nice... It only took my wife a week using my old BB to drop it in the dogs water bowl, numerous screen scratches, and warped battery cover. I am doing the same with a case and screen protector for her with the Atrix. I bet it doesnt last 6 months.....

ghprice.. am curious if you pre-ordered or are waiting like I am to play with the S3 when the demos arrive. I've been waiting patiently for this phone and if doesn't knock me out, am going to get a Skyrocket which by then will probably be $40 on Amazon (currently $80). I have a strong feeling am going to get the GS3 though and can't wait until I can play with it.

And as you guys know, the court denied Apple's request for an injunction so it's a GREEN LIGHT for Sammy!

Getting a Skyrocket would be a mistake, in my opinion anyway. I traded in my ATT SGSII for a Skyrocket when it launched. Nice enough phone, but you are saving a little more than $100? Wait a little bit and the SGSIII will be cheaper too!

I'm switching from an iPhone 4S, but I gave that to my fiancee to start a new line and test out a phone I haven't used yet until the S3 came out. So I guess technically I'm upgrading from a Nokia Lumia 900. For the record, I carry my VZW Galaxy Nexus and use that under WiFi for everything but phone calls. That's how much I don't like the Lumia. Hopefully next week that all gets resolved.

Jontalk...I pre-ordered on the 6/6...liked my iphone...love my galaxy tab....so hoping I'll love my gs3.....just can't wait to get it in my hands!

I'm with you on that 100%. Upgrading from an Apple 3GS...pre-ordered my Samsung Galaxy S III on June 6th. I'm really pumped to begin working with my first android phone, and I know this will be the perfect device to start with. I am done with Apple..never looking back!!

Another long-time BlackBerry guy finally making the move here - been over on Crackberry.com for quite a while, moving from my 9800. Have loved the BlackBerry through many years and many models, but finally fed up with RIM continually shooting themselves in the foot and developers continuing to leave the BlackBerry platform.

Can't wait to get the S3, have done a lot of studying before pulling the trigger - only angst is how it will be moving to something without a physical keyboard for the first time in my smartphone history.
