What are you upgrading from?
I saw a similar thread in the Sprint S3 forums and thought it would help pass the time if we had one in the At&t S3 area.
What are you upgrading from to get your S3 on At&t?
I currently have the Galaxy Note, and the Google Galaxy Nexus. I've recently ditched all my iPhones and am patiently waiting the S3!Nexus for life. - 06-12-2012, 07:00 PM #2
Re: What are you upgrading from?
I have the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. I actually bought the One X but, believe it or not, didn't like it as much as my SR so I returned it. I think I'm a Samsung fanboy. Can't wait for the GS3!

Re: What are you upgrading from?
Upgrading from a $20 samsung phone that I have had for two years. It has done very well for me, but now the techie side of my brain has finally taken priority over the cheap penny pinching side and I am splurging an extra $30/month for the data required for this phone! Seriously can't wait. Hopefully they will develop a quick root for it. Really want to get the full android experience.

Re: What are you upgrading from?
I have a Skyrocket (currently with Sammy for repair.)
While the Sammy is in the shop, using an old 3GS, ugh.
Plano- don't they make adapters for the micro-sim to regular sim?
If you look at some of the Sim cutters, many say they come with adapters. - 06-12-2012, 11:03 PM #11

Re: What are you upgrading from?
HTC Evo 3D was my last smartphone. I did however try the HOX and returned it. So both of them I guess. Currently I have a Pantech PoS dumb phone to hold me over! And I have not had a dumb phone in about 10 years! :P So its sort of a nice change. For now....

Re: What are you upgrading from?
Also upgrading from the Captivate, which is exactly 2 years old this month for me. My contract was up, the Captivate is creeping along, it was time for a new phone, so the timing of the release of the S III is perfect for me.

Re: What are you upgrading from?
Yes! I bought the SIM cutter and it came with some adapters which seems kinda thick. I have read a lot about it and many say the adapter can get stuck and break the pins etc. Some say use the original SIM you cut from and others say just use the micro SIM in the full sized slot...I guess I will try several methods to see what works for me. Will probably not use the adapter though. I would hate to bork my Galaxy Note.

Re: What are you upgrading from?
It's a good phone. It really is. WebOS is a super stable OS. I just wish it had a stronger following. Some of the things you can do in it are outstanding. I work for HP so it's a company phone. (Used to be anyways.)
I'm just dying to get onto a larger screen and some 4G connectivity. Not to mention I really like ICS. I'm dual booting a Touchpad at the house with ICS/WebOS. ICS makes that thing fly!
