ATT activation

How long has it been taking to activate phones? I entered the info nearly 2 hours ago and nothing yet.

It didn't take long for me...maybe 10 minutes. I never received a call though and I noticed restarting the phone got it going...

I did a online chat, it took 5 minutes. I never assumed it would do it by itself.

The email had a link to an activation page. I entered the info and it now says "activation pending". Guess I can do the chat in the morning.

Gave in and called. Why have the online process if it does nothing?

I activated today using the computerized system via phone and was active inside of 5 minutes.
I ported my old number on the phone with a real person and it was done and active while I was on-line with the at&t person all within 10 minutes.
Both went very smoothly - I was impressed.
