Re: Post your AT&T HSPA+/LTE Speeds
Awesome speedtests on here. What's so nice is the HSPA+21/LTE combo. When I'm not in LTE I get 9-10mbps which is more than enough lol. Anything greater than 10mbps is just icing on the cake. ;-)

Re: Post your AT&T HSPA+/LTE Speeds
Just a totally nooby question here, but how do you tell what speeds you're getting 'up' and what you're getting 'down'?

Where do you see those spec's on your phone? I don't even know what gen of radio cell signal I'm getting; my S3 just shows 'AT&T' over in the far left corner of the notif. bar. Occasionally it will show 4G over by the strength-of-signal bars, but I don't think I've ever seen a 3G or 2G icon up in the notif. bar. Again, most of the time, it shows the 'AT&T' over at the far left side of the notif. bar. How do you know when your on the AT&T HSPA+ signal?
If I go to: Settings > More settings > Mobile Networks > Access point names > . . all that shows up is 'AT&T PTA'. What does that mean?
That I'm getting my cell signal from some schools Parent Teacher Association . . or what?!?!
lol

Re: Post your AT&T HSPA+/LTE Speeds
AT&T is very bad with displaying a connection status. For example, when on 3G it will still say "4G" despite being on the UMTS network (3G network). I don't know how the stock rom displays 2G. It might say that or EDGE which is the same thing. If your in a 4G LTE market it will say "4G LTE" in the indicator.
You'll need to flash a custom rom if you want to toggle network modes. AT&T does not allow you to force it into EDGE or HSPA+ on the stock rom, which sucks.Doesn't understand why people use "CDMA" technology when GSM is so superior. - 11-15-2012, 08:11 AM #89

Pulling these speeds at work right now outside of The Woodlands just north of Houston. This is why my phone has to have LTE!
