When I want to show of my shiny new S3, what single aspect, feature, app or attribute is most impressive?

What is easiest to understand for a non-phone-geek to appreciate?

If I had an iphone 4S, it would surely be SIRI.

On my S3, is it flipboard on the big S3 screen?

Just letting someone hold it and light it is?

What do you think?

Thanks,

Mike

Burst shot mode and best picture. Shooting a video and then snapping some stills! Also play a video hit the pop up mode while you flip home screens and the video keeps playing are a few thoughts!

The one x can do all those cept the pop out porn vids. So its not really exclusive to the s3

Smart Stay and S Voice.

Browser screen gestures and performance. Extremely fluid resizing and navigation.

Video player has dynamic thumbnails.

Sound quality and noise reduction during phone calls.

Others already listed above.

The only edge that the HOX has over the GS3 is the screen display which tends to have less color saturation than the GS3.

Everything else from TouchWiz vs Sense, hardware (RAM/onboard storage), customization potential and quadrant scores makes the GS3 an overall better device than the HOX which is still very good. It can do many of the same things as the GS3, just not better Each appeals to different needs and user preferences.

S Beam is another good GS3 feature.

They are impressive for the HOX also. I did not realize HOX owners had such a complex...The question did not really specify exclusivity to the SGSIII...how about I show off how much memory I have left on my 64GB micro SD card when I show it to a HOX owner?

Saying "cheese" to take a picture is one of my favorites

I don't know why people have to always throw in the one x. Who cares, if I wanted a one x I would have kept the one I had. People are always trying to compare the two. Indont get it. But for me it stay awake, and the cool text to call.

Palm Swipe for screen capture. Palm cover or turning the phone over to mute it.

I really like how you can automatically share photos with your friends.

what does this mean? how do you access this feature? i tried looking for it under my cam setting before posting, and i'm not finding it...

also, something related to this comment... like 8 years ago, my friend had a flip phone with a cam (when flip phones were barely starting to come out with cameras lol), and whenever he pressed the button to take a picture, a recording would play right before the camera took the picture. he recorded "smile motha *****" which would make you laugh right before it snapped the pic. Is there an app similar to this anywhere where you can record something funny, and have it play before the camera takes a pic?

I'd go with pop up play, Flipboard looks nice - I also like opening up stock browser (for Flash) and going to ESPN.com - let the whole page load and start the video and show how you can not only use flash player but also view entire websites without zooming in.

From the home screen go to settings / language and input / voice cmd for apps - you'll see the camera option here.

I showed the pop-out player to all my iphone friends this weekend and they were crazy impressed. Picture-in-picture one of them said.

Plus one commented on how awesome the screen was, he called it screenis envy :D

I found the answer:

I installed Go Launcher and used the 3D sphere desktop. When I drag my finger around, and the icons wrap into a sphere, people say WOW!!

The pop out video player is my favorite feature.. show it off all the time... :)

To activate voice command for the camera, go to Settings/Language and input/Voice cmd for apps. Set this to on. Now go to camera and just say "smile" or "cheese". This is my favorite feature.

What exactly is this? How do I access it.
Also, what is flipboard?

flipboard is an awesome app for browsing news/rss feeds ( search for it in the play store, it's awesome)!!

When playing a video with the stock video player (does not work for flash, youtube, etc. - just the stock player) you can press the pop out button while a video is playing and it will let you watch the video in other apps or on the home screen, etc. You can move the video to any position on the screen and continue to use the phone any way you like while watching it.
