Foxfi is a popular one. Some people have reported a few issues with it but others use it with no problems at all.

    Anyone got FoxFi to work?

What kind of issues on tethering? I am using a Samsung Galaxy S3, factory openline and didn't root it yet but I've encountered problems with Tethering wherein my iPhone that I use to connect via my SGS 3 via WIFI Tethering wherein the iPhone suddenly cannot connect to my SGS 3 WIFI. WIth the stop and start Tethering on my SGS 3 did not resolve the issue. I only isolated that during this Tethering issue, I just reset my SGS 3 and my iphone4 can connect via Tethering again.

    Did you encounter this?

Use this app... it uses the built in hotspot feature... pretty much all the app does is bypass the process to check if u have it on your account... after it's on just go to the phones hotspot and you can add a password or change the name...
