Help stuck in airplane mode

My wife's three day old s3 has gotten stuck I airplane mode with no data. What can we do to fix it? She has pulled the battery, pulled the Sim, and restarted it with no luck. Ive told her to do factory reset and to met me know. I'm trying to keep her in android phones and away from the iphone. She has the worst luck on android phones.

If the factory reset didn't fix it it's probably a hardware issue. Unless someone else has any other ideas...
