Message popup: "Unfortunately, the Process..."

For the past 2 days, I've been receiving this message popup on my SGS3, "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped.". Sometimes the phone freezes, others it freezes, then reboots. This seems to specifically happen when using either the Interenet App (native) or Chrome. It's really frustrating. The phone doesn't have a lot of apps and has not been tinkered with. This is reminding me of the mess that was my Dell Streak 5. Any ideas to right the ship?

I had that problem and solved it by stopping the "internet" sync in the phone's google account. (settings... accounts and sync...) You can also try just removing the google account and then adding it back again.
