Over the air update this morning...
Anyone else get an over the air update this morning on the AT&T S3? I've had my phone for about a month now and this is the 2nd update that I've received. Just curious to see if anyone else received it and if you knew what the changes were.

Re: Over the air update this morning...
i received it but I postponed installation until I find out what it is. Sucks that the updater doesn't give you a changelog when you download the file.

Re: Over the air update this morning...
I noticed in "more settings" theres a "screen cast " option to let you cast your screen on another device. Unless that was already there ?

Re: Over the air update this morning...
I just had a Sprint Galaxy S3 and the box came with a little sticker that said 'Updated' and it had a brightness slider in the notification drawer.

Re: Over the air update this morning...
Hmm.. as soon as I clicked out of WiFi I got the window that asked if I wanted to update my Samsung account, so I did.
After the download completed I don't see anything new and the build number still ends with CALG1 ..When I tap Software update, it says my software is up to date. I'm in the SF Bay area so maybe the updates are regional? We've had LTE here for quite a while, but I don't see any brightness bar in notifications or Screencast selection in Settings either. Re: Over the air update this morning...
doubt it has anything to do with new LTE areas. I'm in Dallas and we were one of the first AT&T LTE markets. Most likely they are pushing the update in batches and your IMEI will likely determine when the update will be pushed to you.

Isn't allshare cast the feature that allows you to mirror games, etc to your TV wirelessly? Maybe that means the allshare cast dongle is finally going to be available? - 09-18-2012, 04:55 PM #25
