disabling apps on SGSIII
When i had my Vivid, i disabled some of the AT&T bloatware apps, with no ill effects to the phone. Can i do the same with my new SGSIII? It's brand new, and i don't want to screw it up. Thanks for any help.

P.S. I use a MacBook Pro, so rooting is a no go.

Re: disabling apps on SGSIII
It is no probIem. Just uninstall updates and disable. You can also setup a windows VM to root. Almost all the AT&T bloatware can be disabled. Personally, I have 15 apps disabled.

Yes you can.. being able to disable apps without root is one of the new features that ICS brought along. If you're unsure.. just post which apps and either myself or someone else will give you the thumbs up/down.

I also use a Macbook Pro. I use a virtual machine to root the S3.

Re: disabling apps on SGSIII
I've disabled 20 apps on my SGSIII.So far, everything seems o.k., except that my download speed dropped from 19kbs to around 15kbs. Don't know if any of the apps are to blame, but i'd appreciate anyone's intel. Thanks.

Re: disabling apps on SGSIII
@jsntrenkler: Checked out several videos, hopefully one was the right one, but they all leave out the Google apps, including the Play Store. Still undecided, but thanks for the info.
