When I receive sms messages they now alert me with both sound and vibration. If i go to settings from the messaging app and turn off "vibrate" it will only alert me with sound which is what i want, but when i swith to the vibrate profile my sms notifications will not vibrate. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

I assume this is stock SMS.

Go into the app and put the messaging vibrate back on.
Then go to the home screen, then phone settings then into sound and uncheck sound and vibration

Yes, stock application.

I just tried what you suggested and still no change. I even restarted the phone.

I didn't mention in my original post that I'm running JB.
