Jelly Bean Voice Issues

Upgraded two of our S3's to Jelly Bean 4.1.1, both phones experience intermittent issues using the voice microphone to record text messages from the keyboard. Went to AT&T store with one of the phones and they reloded the latest version on JB wiping all previous software and problem still exists. Voice feature will work some times but not all the time and this seems to be consistent across most applications. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution out there?
