PC not recognizing Galaxy anymore

Ok so the other day if you didnt know i had problems after the OTA update. Well i did a factory reset and everything was working well. Now i go to connect to my pc and all that happens is it connects only to charge.. Nothing in pull down menu for usb options.. I tried re installing the drivers.. and NOTHING Im using Windows8

ok well i got my pc to recognize it, uninstalled the usb drivers, and let windows automatically reinstall them. But now im having problems with connecting kies, it recognizes that my phone is connected but will not connect to it. It has been sitting for 20+mins. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing kies but this did not work...

I always go into device manager and uninstall the driver then plug in and have it reinstall. Its a pain in the arse but thats they only way I can get it to work. I also try switching usb ports and that seems to help sometimes. I'm in the same boat as you. Even installing the samsung driver does not help either. Hopefully there will be a fix for that.
