So im getting a replacement phone today, just wondering what is the easiest way to go about transfering everything to the new device, thanks!

As soon as you get prompted to login with your Google account information the contacts, calendars, purchased apps and any other Google services should start restoring themselves.

I've never tried it, but I'd suggest looking into MyBackUp if you're not rooted, Titanium BackUp if you are.

Also I would copy all of my system folders to my computer just to be safe.

so i tried to sync my contacts with my google account and it is unfortunately not working... And i cannot connect my phone to my pc. (running win8 with newest drivers installed) it recognizes phone for a few seconds then disconnects. Please help, i dont want to manually enter all my contacts, thanks

Deep breaths.

You have the option of exporting your contacts to SD then moving them wherever you see fit.

Alternatively you can just save them to a sim card. If you have one.
