First thing I did was disable S Voice. Then I downloaded Bluetooth Launcher and set it to open Voice Search. When the screen is on and I long press the headphones button, it will open a Voice Search like I want it to. But when the screen is off, it opens up Google Voice Dialer, which limits you obviously to only dialing numbers, and doesn't even work as well as Google Voice Search anyways. (Side note, without Bluetooth Launcher, a double press of the home button goes to Google Voice Dialer, not Search. It appears that for whatever reason with S Voice gone, it wants to default to Voice Dialer rather than Search.)
I've tried JAYS Headset Control and Headset Button Controller Trial, both with no success.
I've looked in Application Manager for the Google Voice Dialer process, it's not listed so I can't just disable it.
I'm hoping this is possible without rooting. If not, someone should point me in the direction of a good, basic rooting guide XD
