I have the HTC One with AT&T, non-rooted. I recently started trying out the Portable Wi-Fi hotspot feature. It works great for a while, but then turns itself off for no apparent reason after what seems to be a random period of time. I made sure that the Power mode setting within the advanced settings is set to "always on." A person at the AT&T store said it was probably a built-in feature to save on data and/or power, but could not confirm this. I would like to be able to manually turn it off when I'm done using it. Has anyone else had this issue?
