Random Skips During Video Recording

I have been having this problem on my Inspire 4G for what seems like months now. Basically, any video I record is riddled with skips. The longer the video, the more skips there are. Its really frustrating as this annoyance has ruined some pretty important moments in my life this year...

I never upgraded to GB so I'm still on Froyo. The video is just 800 x 480 so its not even HD. Has anyone experienced this and found a fix? I saw that some of the EVO 4G people were lowering the "Auto Flicker" adjustment to 60hz but I don't think we have that setting on our phones. I am wondering if I need a higher quality SD card?? Is it not keeping up?

I have GB. And when I had the previous OS I never experienced any problems but the other day I went to the Beach and while I was recording a video my phone would just restart......and it did it a couple times....it had NEVER happened before...my video has also skipped like you have explained but I have no idea what it is either
