HTC rolls out HTC Incredible 4G LTE at CTIA Wireless 2012
The much awaited new iteration in the HTC Incredible line of Android-powered smartphones is here. The company unveiled phone on May 7 at the event. The new smartphone is named HTC Incredible 4G LTE, which seems to have caught the epidemic of naming devices after the wireless technology they hold.
At first look, the phone gives impression of an amalgamation of HTC One X, One S and Incredible 2. The back is contoured and textured with attractive red outlines around the camera ring. It might not be the thinnest in the market or may not have the biggest screen or a very vivid one for that matter, but it has the oomph which might make it one of the upcoming attractions.
The smartphone sports an HTC-signature Super LCD 2 qHD display technology in a 4-inch screen. The sharpness is there undoubtedly but it might not be considered the most vivid one, now that HTC One X with super-bright display is here. The dimensions however, are very mediocre, which makes the phone handier than One X or Motorola Droid Razr. The touch sensitivity is a plus and more boosted up by the short size of the display making it more approachable.
The phone carries Google’s latest version of its mobile operating system, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. On the top of that HTC has installed its custom user interface, HTC Sense 4.0.
At the back of the handset resides an 8-mega pixel camera with 1080p video quality. However, a verdict on picture and video quality can only be passed after a rigorous camera test. In the indoors the snapper offered acceptable quality.
Under the hood is a Qualcomm Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor. Residing besides it is a 1700 mAh battery. The battery might not be as powerful as Droid Razr Maxx that boasts a massive 3300 mAh source or One X which as a 2100 mAh supply. However, this might get the user through one day of normal usage, maybe less with heavy usage.
In a nutshell, the phone is a nice combination of normal aesthetics and latest operating system. The price is now going to affect the sales.
