Screenshots?

I just read an article that says that mentions that some Android phones have built in Screenshots that can be done with the power button and volume up. Is this true and if not how can I make it to be true

i've tried many times... none of the combos work for a non-rooted inspire

only options i know of are to root or use the sdk to grab shots

Well this is encouraging seems the ota update lets non rooted users get screen shots 0.0

The sense 3.0 update allows you to take screen shots without root with the power button+home button combo. It's very easy and one of the best new features

YES! I JUST tried it with my Inspire and it DOES work! It saves the screenshots to the Camera Shots folder in your Gallery!

Haha you're very welcome. For some reason the thought came to me to try it after the update. I tried the Power button + volume down button and it didn't work, then I realized on most HTC phones that it is the power+home button and boom! it worked!

Yougotta have the new sense 3.0 ota update sense 2.6 dosent do it so when you get the update it will work

Thanks so much! You absolutely ROCK! I just upgraded to 2.3.5 on my HTC Inspire & did the screenshot by accident & couldn't figure out how I did it! I tried everything! Well everything but that. :-\

ICS is the only Firmware that screenshots using Power and Volume Down.
