Difference between Inspire and Desire HD?
Is there any difference between the two phones? Besides region and carriers? I was just wondering, cause I know Cyanogen is waiting for the source so he can get the sound working on his ROM.

The biggest difference seems to be that the Inspire uses a different sound amplifier than the Desire HD. The devs need to wait for HTC to release the kernel source code for the Inspire to see how to use this new amp compared to the old one in the Desire HD kernel. Once HTC releases the source code, the devs can start customizing this thing in earnest.

Yes, they did already release the source code. Here's a link to the article on our favorite site: http://www.androidcentral.com/htc-re...4g-source-code

Is the Desires Speakerphone as poor as the Inspire's?
So far that's my only complaint regarding the Inspire.Devices: Thunderbolt, Razr-M, & Touchpad running JB - 04-18-2011, 07:51 PM #12
I would imagine so. The hardware is identical from everything I've seen.

Hardware is nearly identical, as the Desire HD lacks a noise-cancelling microphone. A case for the HD will cover your NCM.
