Difference between Inspire and Desire HD?

Is there any difference between the two phones? Besides region and carriers? I was just wondering, cause I know Cyanogen is waiting for the source so he can get the sound working on his ROM.

They can't be too different considering the Inspire tells services it's the "Desire HD". Our Good server at work shows my Inspire as the "Desire HD"

The biggest difference seems to be that the Inspire uses a different sound amplifier than the Desire HD. The devs need to wait for HTC to release the kernel source code for the Inspire to see how to use this new amp compared to the old one in the Desire HD kernel. Once HTC releases the source code, the devs can start customizing this thing in earnest.

so i'm assuming cases for the desire will fit the inspire perfectly fine?

In all cases that I have heard of, they fit fine. I have the Desire HD otterbox defender myself.

Only thing with it is the belt holster covers the headphone jack. I never use the belt holster though.

I thought HTC already released the source code a couple weeks ago
