Stock Email App

So about 3 weeks ago my stock email app stopped updating. It will not update. I prefer this app over the Gmail app and would like to get it back. Is anyone else having this issue. I've restarted the phone half a dozen times and I just don't know what caused it to do this. Has anyone else had this issue and where you able to fix it?

try going to settings > app > mail app and disable and clear cache then reboot and try. maybe corrupted cache.

Just tried and its still not updating. I even removed my accounts and re-added them and now I'm getting no email for both of them.
