My Android knowledge is a bit out of date, but I recall that there used to be a way to get certain phones to check the server for updates more often. In other words, my G2 now says I cannot check for 17 hrs 23 minutes... lol. Anyone have a super great idea on how to force it to check for an update?

    I am impatient, it seems.

Turn your date ahead and search again.

Possibly force stop Google Services Framework and clearing data and cache.

I think I remember reading somewhere that doing that could cause issues with some Google apps though.

Well, on the bright side, the date change worked. ON the not so bright side... no update yet.

You can flash the update using LG flash tool.

I did this twice on other phones. First time no issues. Second time messed up my Google Apps for like 2 weeks. Wasn't worth it to me. I won't do it again.

I remember date pushing to force the update on my note 2 and eventually it got up to be like 366 days before I could check for an update. So i had to keep pushing further and further in the future. Took like a week of that before I finally got it. Is this how the LG updater handles when you push the date forward? If so I will just be waiting.

Yeah, it's kind of funny. Mine now says that I need to wait 1200 days or so.

Yeah I don't like that. So I will be waiting personally.
