    Default Dismissing a notification

My phone is rooted. I just got a notification for a software update that I don't want because it will ruin my root. The notification cannot be swiped closed. How do I get rid of it?

Disable the software update using ROM Toolbox. It should show up under system app in the app manager

I think it's just software update in system apps section. Once it's frozen or deleted there won't even be an option in about phone to check for updates.

Yep. In case anyone else is interested, it is indeed called just "Software Update."

    Thanks.
