I turn WiFi off, I get a bunch of "so-and-so:etc:disconnected" messages?

I have my WiFi turned on (not tethering or hotspot or any of that, just the vanilla WiFi turned on) at my office. If I turn it off, I get a bunch of "so-and-so:so-and-so:disconnected" messages - I recognize them as machine names around the office. What gives? Is my phone autoconnecting somehow to shared drives on my network, or are these machines connecting to my phone automatically as if it's announcing it's available?

If your wifi is off it should be able to communicate with anything, maybe your phone connect to them for some reason when you wifi is ON, and when you turn it off, it let you know that i got disconnected.

Maybe an application is making that happen ?

I've gotten that suggestion now from several places; the problem is it's not easy to track down which app is doing it. I rebooted my phone and its not doing it now, so it had to be some app I started up myself rather than something that automatically started in the background (unless it's something on a timer...annoying).
