What do you suppose the time frame will be for ICS to get to our phones or at least the P500?

CM9 might hit in the beginning of jan. but im sure theyll be someone else to compile a ICS before that. My guess we will see ICS roms by dec.

Weirdest thing happened....around noonish I pick up my phone to see what time it was.. hit the home button...nothing happened...hit it again and all 4 buttons start flashing at me and then it reboots. Only thing different with home screen is icons are back to stock go launcher.

Sqlite fix for 2.3.7...is it permanent? Only have to do once per flash? Sorry if I missed the answer.

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed
So let me see if I can sum up the ROMs here, let me know if I'm missing any that actually work... We have 3 basic choices
1 CM7... Basically its a cute kid that has a temper-tantrum, wets the bed and cries for mommy [the whole com.android.phone issue], but if you spank it often enough it will behave.
2 Sony ROM... In my experience this was much like a dating a crazy person it looked neat at first but the more you played with her the more screwed up she got. I suppose you could work things out with enough help from professionals but really who has the time. Maybe her younger sister [the new version] will be less psychotic but crazy does run in the family.
3 MMatt's ROM...Aside from its eccentric nature about certain minor things its OK except that it has an unquenchable thirst for power. Turn on bluetooth and 3G and this thing sucks up power quicker than Hitler before WWII.
Major props to all those out there that have helped get us this far, but we really need a good stable ROM that just works. Here's hoping Ice Cream Sandwich gives us what we need. If not anyone know a good programmer we can lock in a room and zap them with a shock collar till we get a custom ROM for our phone?Thanked by 2: - 11-16-2011, 08:25 AM #388

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed
heh, nice
id like to add MIUI themed cm7 2.3.5
hasnt given me any real truoble... no lock lag....batterys pretty good.. id say close to stock.
havnt had any errors... the only bad i can see so far is the black screen fumble when in call. generally if i tap the screen twice it comes to life...just have to be lucky i hit the button im meaning to...i think my reboot issue i had yesterday was go launcher updating or something...i havent overclocked or tweeked in anyway on this...dont have BT anything so i havent used it. will try comp file transfer later.. - 11-16-2011, 11:56 AM #390

CM7 worked pretty well for me; but I finally threw in the towel on this phone, and bought a used Samsung Infuse off Cowboom for just under $200.
Sadly, CM7 is unofficial on that phone, too...

I wouldn't. That's why I'm glad there's ports available.

Yeah no kiding Joban. When has LG ever been vigilant. When it comes to this phone.
On a high note I'm at 77% battery after 12 hours light use.
Wifi question... it connects to home(protected) and work(protected). But it wont connect to a hot spot... any theories? - 11-16-2011, 11:59 PM
