my female friends g2 just recently started to be very intermentent about having an actual sound or vibration when she gets a new texts. she just told me today that during our two hour conversation she wasnt doing anything but waiting for my replies. and having to actually turn the screen on to see there was a message, because she only heard three maybe five notification sounds at best. any fix recommended for this?
she has a stock g2 version 2.3.4

This is going to sound stupid, and I'm sure she has, but did she reboot the phone?

yes phone has been rebooted. issue still exists. she played with the settings as well and turn off notifications than turned them back on. nothing.

Did she check the Ringtone Volume? (with the volume rocker on the homescreen).

If not, I'm out of ideas.
