I have been having weird issues with folders appearing in my gallery that come back if deleted and also missing recently taken/downloaded images.

I had 3 new folders in my gallery named c26417, c26419, and c26713 containing Ads which i ended up finding where they were on the sd card and placed a .nomedia file with them which worked for a while. (i have since also uninstalled Shazam, where they were from)
so that worked well for a while, no problems. no new folders/files, no missing files.

then, it happened again the other day, but this time it is worse. there is a folder with no name just containing 5 blank files. they have no names, no details...nothing. And images go missing.

i tried putting nomedia files in a bunch of locations and that didnt work either

any ideas?

I have seen issues with new photos not showing up in the gallery too. If I open the gallery through the camera app I will see the photos otherwise not. It seemed to fix itself recently though.
