Solution for android.process.media force close

I started getting this annoying message:

Sorry!
The process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Every time I went to take a picture with the camera app I would experience this message. When I clicked force close and reopened the app I could successfully take pictures again. However, after I took the picture and later attempted to take another I got the same message over and over again. I tried opening the gallery and going to camera to see if there was some other way to duplicate the problem but I couldn't. I played with several different gallery/camera settings to see if I could figure out what was actually causing the problem.

I finally found out that it was a widget causing the media process to force close. I was using the "Picture Frame" widget to put pictures from my gallery onto my home screen. After I trashed all picture frames and tried the camera app again the problem was no longer apparent. When I put a picture frame back on the issue came back.

Just curious if others are willing to test this out and let me know if they are having the same issue with the Picture Frame widget causing the media process to force close. This is on Android 2.2 build number 1.22.531.8 on the G2.

I have just about the same message but for a different circumstance.

I used to have two games, basketball shot and sniper, and when they had updates available the downloads just continually show the in progress screen. I uninstalled the games and all it did was cause them to double the downloads. So now I have 2 of each downloads stuck. The minute I cancel I get the message "The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Maybe I'm not good at navigating the forums yet but I haven't seen anything on it. My phone isn't rooted or anything at all.



EDIT: So after looking in other places I found the Market forums with a thread specific to my problem. Force Quit + Clear Data/Cache did the trick. Maybe something like this could work for your app as well?

Hey. i have this problem with my android smartphone and my tablet when ever i try to do anything on my gadgets am interppted by this message " The process android . process .com has stopped unexpectedly please try again" can any one tell explain to me what causes that?

This issue is a big problem with my stuff that message keep on blocking every thing am doing
