Default will this phone work on att if unlocked.

I read that this phone will have ATT 3g radios as well. Does that mean we could buy this phone, unlock it and use it on ATT.
    Thanks

If it doesn't, you can always buy an unlocked Optimus 2x for about $550. ($50 more than T-Mobile's retail price. )

Spoke to the Tmo guy on Sunday. He said that they unlock thier phones for free and that yes, this should work on ATT with an ATT sim. Take that as you will.

I know Myriam over at Engadget Mobile stated that you will be able to use it on ATT 3G, she's usually spot on for these things.

I have the g2x, i have it unlocked in canada and it won't catch onto either Rogers/Bell/Telus whom employ 850mhz 3g networks. seems likes the phone has the chip but not enabled.

Follow this long thread i started yesterday.

Silly question, but I assume that since it supports all those frequencies than this phone should have no trouble working over in Europe, right?

For our full review, we asked T-Mobile if the 3G band specs listed on their site were correct and sadly they said they were not. The G2x supports only 1700/2100MHz 3G, and does not have AT&T bands.

Yup - looks like T-Mobile is LYING!!!!
Amazon lists this as T-Mobile 3G ONLY!

    AmazonWireless: LG G2x 4G Android Phone (T-Mobile)

PS: The forums seem to be screwed up BTW. There are currently 2 LG G2x forums .......

And why the F*** is that and the fact that T-Mobile and LG have been lying through their teeth for the last 1+ months of hype for this phone not the MAJOR STORY in your review?
This was hyped as the first quad-band UMTS android phone and now it turns out that it was all only bull? F this phone and F T-Mobile and LG!
