Is there any way to turn 4g off?
I am wanting to know if there is a way to turn 4g off? My friend is able to turn his off based off a app that was developed for his My touch 4g. Does anyone know if there is anything like that for the G2x yet? My goal is to save more on the battery life.

Haven't seen or used a G2x yet, but if you hit menu, settings, wireless and networks, mobile networks, then use only 2g networks. There is not way to turn off 4g and only use 3g, it's either 2g or 3/4g. Oh it also occurred to me that on the Vibrant there is no way to run 2g only so it might be the same way on the G2x

Why would you want to turn it off? It doesn't use any extra battery versus 3G.
