Switching Sim Card from Blackberry To Galaxy SII?

My company issues Blackberries to all employees, but I prefer an Android phone. We're on T-Mobile. I purchased a T-Mobile Galaxy SII and switched the sim card from the Blackberry into it. The phone works fine, but no apps or web will work. Can I get around this by unlocking the phone? What do I need to do?

Did you change your data plan from blackberry to android? Until you do, only the phone functions will work.

Thanks. I was afraid that might be the case. My employer is strangely insistent on the Blackberry and won't authorize a data plan switch. I was just wondering if there was a hack I could do to get the phone working properly.
