Re: ICS 4.0.4 update for Galaxy 2?
I wish I could say things are rosy and wonderful with the ICS4.0.4 firmware. After some time with it, I've had two problems that just can't seem to sort themselves out.
Sadly, until then, I'm back using my factory unlocked iPhone 4s in the EDGE slow lane.
The first (and major) problem is on the current firmware, using the Samsung power control widget crashes the Twiz launcher. The second is a rather annoying issue.
I have a lot of photos and music on my memory card (32GB) and every so often, I end up with ghost duplicates of both my music and photos in the photo album. I find myself often having to clear the media cache to get things back to normal. The trouble here is I'm finding myself doing this at least three or more times a week.
It's rather frustrating but not crashing my phone like the power management widget.
I do hope that the Jelly Bean update fixes these issues.Thanked by: - 09-24-2012, 07:53 PM #14

Re: ICS 4.0.4 update for Galaxy 2?
Global/local search is a goner. I didn't use it much and when I think about it really, I don't use it much on my iPhone at all either. When it was added to the iPhone before I went full on Android with my first phone (Motorola Cliq), the iPhone had no folders.
I had all my icons sorted in various pages from games to apps etc. the swipe left to search screen was one thing I wish I could turn off when I had my iPhone 3G.
When I got my Motorola, I loved the change. Despite it being in the dark ages at that time still running Android/Motoblur 1.5 - 02-16-2013, 12:17 PM #16
