Most consumers do not understand the logic behind T-Mobiles pricing. Ultimately, for the duration of a 2 year contract, T-Mobile is cheaper than all other carriers. However, when a subscriber has to pay $300 for a phone while competitors are selling the same phone for $200, I am convinced most subscribers will opt for the cheaper option if they are willing to switch carriers. The monthly dues are slightly higher on other carriers however, the initial purchase price IMO is what most consumers look at. On different note, T-Mobile's S3 out of contract price is still higher than other carriers. Why is this so?

One article I just read says many walmarts and costcos will have some inventory as early as June 21st. Not just in the "29" markets.
    Just FYI.

I went into a T-Mobile store thinking they would have a Galaxy S3 on display that I could check out since Detroit is one of the 29 markets that would be offering it today and sadly they had none. I went to another store where I was told by a clerk that the GS3 only came into one store in the area and they only had 5 and had sold out. So if your gonna go into a store today thinking you can buy one, you might be out of luck.

I ended up calling about 12 tmobile stores around los angeles and none of them got a shipment as of yesterday. Called tmobile to complain that new customers can get the phone as early as tomorrow if they order online and upgrades have to wait a week or so. They gave me a credit which was cool but I still want my phone, darn it!

My friend picked one up today from Costco... $284 total (that's after taxes). He got the last one, too. T-Mo...
