help with stock msg app please please please!

Hello everyone! i love my new galaxy s 3 but something is driving me nuts!
i usually use handcent for my messaging, but i like that with the stock one you can automatically call people with a swipe or by placing the phone to your ear. anyways, it drives me NUTS that the contact pictures appear next to the names in the stock app. is there ANY way to get rid of them? all i want to see is the persons name, i do not want to see the picture, or the standard outline [picture next to friends that i dont have contact pictures saved for. help!?

You'll need to delete the contacts photo under "Edit Contact." Note that this will affect all other apps that use the contacts photo as "ID". So if someone calls you it will not show their photo and instead you will ge the generic outline.
